Once he got the restaurant up and running in Los Angeles, Mr. Chow was ready to sink his teeth in the Big Apple. He arrived there in 1978, as the art market was beginning to recover, after the financial fiasco of conceptual art. MR CHOW NY was both the stomping ground for the New Wave crowd and the prevailing optimistic and lively showroom of the art scene in the 80s.
